Shortcuts: Downloads Fedora Red Hat Network
Thank you for your interest in participating in the MRG product beta. We value the input of all beta participants and gladly welcome you on board. Described on this page is all the information you need to download the bits, join mail lists to get informed of ongoing news, and report bugs.
The first step is to identify which feature set you are interested in testing. Recall that MRG is respectively comprised of 3 components:
Keep in mind that each component can be used independently. Understanding which features you intend to use will later guide your package download selection.
Prior to downloading and installing MRG software, you must first perform the prerequisite base system installation. For example, MRG realtime requires prior installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1. In contrast MRG messaging is supported on a variety of operating system versions. Refer to the Supported Hardware page for an itemization of supported platforms.

The following documentation includes a tutorial and installation guide for MRG Messaging and deployment guides that include installation and settings for MRG Realtime and MRG Grid:

Prior to performing the software installation, it is recommended that you read the brief list of open issues and known workarounds. Doing so may help you avoid wasting any time diagnosing a known problem. This list of known issues will be updated over the course of beta.
To review the list of known issues, updates during beta refer here: mrg.et.redhat.com/page/knownissues
In order to report bugs via the bugzilla interface, it is first necessary to create an account if you have not done so already. If you have a previously existing account used for entering Red Hat Enterprise Linux bugs, you can continue to use that same account. To create a new account: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/createaccount.cgi.
The first step in entering a bug is to specify the Product field. To report MRG bugs, select the product: Red Hat Enterprise MRG. Designating the appropriate product is important to differentiate bugs from other products which ensures your issues are routed to the appropriate team for resolution.
The second field to specify is the Component. There you will see a selection which enables you to designate the appropriate component among the messaging, realtime, and grid packages.
Then you follow standard bug reporting practices by providing as much diagnostic detail as possible in the problem report.
There is a mailing list that beta participants are invited to subscribe to. By subscribing to this list, you will receive notification of news such as major package updates. Beta participants can post usage questions to this list.
