Michel Goossens was Vice President of EMEA at JBoss and oversees Sales and Marketing activities for that region. Now with Red Hat Michel continues in a similar role, focused on JBoss. Michel joined JBoss in early 2005 and prior to that was EMEA Vice President at Novell. In 1996, Michel founded the SilverStream operations in EMEA and actively contributed to a successful IPO. Michel served as Vice President of EMEA for SilverStream Software, a company that Novell acquired in July 2002. Prior to SilverStream, Michel founded and successfully developed several software start ups in EMEA. Michel has worked in the ICT market for the past 20 years where he held positions in executive management, business development, sales, marketing, consulting and product strategy in companies including NCR Corporation, Arthur Young Consulting, Ernst & Young Consulting and Amdahl.

Before that, Tobias worked as a software developer and software architect; he founded his company objectone GmbH in 2000 where he was CEO for 6 years.

CV for Daniel:

Daniel Riek has been involved with Linux for over 9 years. Whilst studying computer sciences at the University of Bonn, he formed ID-PRO, an Internet and GNU/Linux services provider, together with a few fellow students. The company, which started out as a hobby, soon became a full-time occupation, and in 1998 turned into a limited company delivering purely open source software services. In 1999, the company converted to a Public Limited Company with 120 employees, of which Daniel was a board member and spokesperson. Most recently, Daniel was Technical Manager Germany for Alcove, a French open source services provider, and looked after mainly IT and financial customers. At Red Hat, Daniel was responsible for the Public Sector in Germany. In early 2004 Daniel switched over to the EMEA Sales Engineering team. Daniel has also been a member of the board of the LIVE-Linux-Verband (the German association of Linux providers) since 1999 and in 2001 received an award from the Free Software Foundation for his work.
